He looked in a lot of pain and went out of the field with the help of team members.
In the seventh over of South Africa’s innings, Ryan’s shot went for a boundary between gully and backward point, however Jamal dived and stopped the ball near the boundary and Sam, who was running behind him, stopped suddenly to catch the ball, due to which his ankle got twisted and he looked in a lot of pain. During this time, former Pakistan cricket captain Babar Azam was present with him and encouraged him.
Sam Ayub looked in pain for a long time and was seen sitting on the ground. After some time the physio also came on the field. After some treatment, Ayub was taken out of the field. The problems for Pakistan increased further when Abdullah Shafiq, who came in place of Ayub, missed an easy chance to dismiss Aiden Markram at cover. However, Aiden Markram stats after two overs.
