ICC Champions Trophy opening ceremony to be held in Lahore

It has been decided to hold the opening ceremony of the ICC Champions Trophy in Lahore.

Due to the late arrival of 2 teams participate in the ICC Champions Trophy there will be no opening ceremony there will be no press conference of the 8 captains

And no pre-tournament photo shoot in Karachi, and Indian captain Rohit Sharma will also not come to Karachi for the press conference.

Indian media speculation died down, although the opening ceremony was not officially confirmed but earlier reports had indicated that it was in the works.

According to informed sources of the International Cricket Council, as per the arrival schedule provided to the ICC by the England and Wales Cricket Board and Cricket Australia, the team is scheduled to arrive in Lahore on February 18, while Australia will arrive in Lahore on February 19.

Bangladesh and India will arrive in Dubai on February 15, while Afghanistan will arrive in Islamabad on February 12. New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa will already be in Pakistan after playing a tri-nation ODI series in Lahore and Karachi from February 8 to 14.

According to sources, it has been decided to hold the opening ceremony of the ICC Champions Trophy in Lahore, which will be held on February 16. The ceremony will be held at Huzuri Bagh, Lahore.

The opening match of the ICC Champions Trophy scheduled for February 19 in Karachi and these matches will be broadcast live on Ten Sports. Earlier, news was circulating that the PCB would not hold the opening ceremony of the Champions Trophy.

According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has prepared the schedule for the opening ceremonies of the Champions Trophy and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has also given final approval to all the ceremonies.

The ongoing construction work at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore is also nearing completion. And the opening ceremony of Gaddafi Stadium is likely to be held on February 7. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony of Gaddafi Stadium.

According to sources, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has invited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and a laser show is also likely to be held at the stadium’s inauguration ceremony. According to sources, the PCB has also decided to inaugurate the new building of the National Stadium Karachi. The inauguration ceremony of the National Stadium Karachi will be held on February 11. President Asif Ali Zardari is expected to attend the ceremony as a special guest.
