However, the ICC (Official International Cricket Council) has not yet provided any details regarding the neutral venue nor has it announced the schedule for the Champions Trophy 2025.

The eight-team event is scheduled to be played between February and March next year, featuring Pakistan (defending champion and host), India, Afghanistan, New Zealand, Australia, England, Bangladesh and South Africa.

On Thursday, the ICC announced the 2024-2027 rights cycle, stating that during this period, matches between Pakistan and India in any ICC event will be played at neutral venues.

During these three years, one of the three ICC tournaments, the Champions Trophy 2025, will be played in Pakistan, while the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 will be hosted by India and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is to be played in India as well as Sri Lanka.

Therefore, according to the ICC, Pakistan and India will play against each other at a neutral venue in all these events.

On the other hand, the 76th meeting of the Board of Governors (BOG) of the Pakistan Cricket Board was also held in Islamabad on Thursday under the chairmanship of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, in which Pakistan’s commitment to successfully host the ICC Champions Trophy was reiterated.
